Revenge sounds good, but does more damage in Queen Bee by Amalie Howard a Bridgerton x Count of Monte Cristo mashup!!!

Lady Ela has the breeding to be allowed near a future duke and the new family in town.  However, best friend Poppy, daughter of a solicitor, wants a meet-cute and she shows her true colors when she finds out Ela and Lord Keston already had multiple tea times.  Poppy’s vindictiveness sends Ela away and she reemerges years later as Lady Lyra.

We love a great revenge plot and reading the infiltrating details.  However, we enjoy the challenges to Lyra not being able to be 100% vengeful, deep down she is the same kind younger version of herself.

We enjoy the second chance relationship between Ela/Lyra and Keston.  They were once friends with a simmering attraction.  Keston has a second chance for his redemption, but Queen Bee has other plans.
